Eden Days Hawaiian Haven Whipped Body Butter

I received Eden Days's Hawaiian Haven 100% Natural Body Butter (60ml - £5) in my August Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. It really is a pot of magic! As well as smelling divine it deeply nourishes the skin - use it on your body, face, feet and hands and it can also be used as a cleansing balm - I adore a multi-purpose product!

The range is made by a mother and daughter team and they create and formulate a beautiful range of soaps, butters, a mask and scrub, men's products, gift sets and a selection of soap dishes. See the whole range HERE.

The products are handcrafted in small batches and are 100% natural. Finest oils, butters and botanicals are used with no chemical preservatives.

Inside best selling Hawaiian Haven is exotic Ylang Ylang which helps to regulate sebum and has antimicrobial properties as well as being nourishing and moisturising. Neroli is uplifting and can help with stretch marks and broken capillaries and is regenerating and soothing. Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and calming Lavender soothes and calms while Geranium soothes and calms both the skin and mind. The blend is complimented by Organic Green Tea, Aloe Vera Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Grapeseed & Jojoba Oils and Vitamin E.

To use: apply to the skin using your fingertips. The butter melts on contact with warm skin.

I first tried NorthburN's glorious bathing salts in my Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box in March when the theme was rebalance (and inside was a pouch of their Revive Luxury Bathing Salts).

The Luxury Bathing Salts are wonderful - richly scented, luxurious and soothing. They'd make perfect gifts (if you could bear to give them away!). There are various sizes of pouches available 100g, 200g and 350g (£4, £8, £12).

No.10 Neroli Luxury Bathing Salts are fresh and uplifting with an unmistakable "neroli" scent. The salts are blended with Pure Pink Himalayan Salts and Cocoa Butter which makes for a rich and nourishing soak.

Award Winning No.5 Vetiver Luxury Bathing Salts have the unmistakable woody, grassy notes along with citrus and lavender (I'd say these salts are definitely unisex (if you want to share, that is!)

A.S Apothecary: Body Elixir #33

I received a 25ml bottle of A.S Apothecary's Body Elixir #33 (worth £12, full size 200ml - £65) in my September Skin Organic Clean Beauty Box. I'm a huge fan of the brand already and was excited to try a new-to-me product.

The elixir is luxurious, deeply nourishing and delicately scented. The Vegan blend is packed full of skin loving oils including Jojoba, Grapeseed, infused Pumpkin and Borage to name a few. 

The blend is scented like a perfume with top, heart and base notes and is sensual and aromatic. With romantic and floral Rose, fresh citrus Bergamot, earthy Labdanum and sweet Benzoin.

The elixir absorbs almost instantly leaving the skin feeling moisturised, comfortable and sweetly scented. It really is an exquisite product which I'm really enjoying using (I'll be adding the full size bottle to my wishlist).

To use: apply a few drops onto damp skin, massaging until absorbed. The blend can also be used for massage.

Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box: October: Unwind

It's always an exciting day when my Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box arrives. This month the theme is #unwind and inside are three new to me brands and two brands which have been inside the boxes before.

WOW!

From new to me brand No Secrets is 30ml of their No.4 Shower Cream, a rich and nourishing wash scented with geranium, ylang ylang, neroli, patchouli and lavender. I'm packing this one in my holiday bag. It's worth £5.

From Ethically Organic (another new to me brand) is their Anti-Ageing Facial Oil 30ml - £14 which is packed full of good things for the skin. It absorbs quickly leaving the skin feeling comfortable and nourished.

The Wild Mix has featured in the box before. This time we have an exclusive sized Blue Camo Cooling Mask which has been made especially for the subscription box (and is worth £7). Looking forward to trying this!

Another new to me brand is Vee Beauty LDN and inside is a full size bottle of their Hair & Scalp Treatment 30ml (£18.95) which can be used as a treatment or to tame flyaways.

The final item is a try-me size of Soothe Bath Salts by Butter Bar Soapery 40g (£5) which contains soothing lavender.

Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box: September: Serenity

It's always a happy day when my Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box arrives. This month the theme is Serenity and inside are 6 products all of which are new to me - this is what beauty boxes should be about. I have tried other products from 3 of the brands and 2 are brand new to me.

And... one brand is from Denmark and the other Canada which are great to see in the box. WOW!

From one of my favourite brands A.S Apothecary is their Body Elixir #33 25ml (£12) which smells glorious. It's really exquisite and is scented with rose, bergamot, labdanum, clary sage and benzoin. I'm looking forward to testing it out and a review will follow soon.

The second brand to jump out at me is new-to-me Danish brand o.Moi and inside is a 10ml pot of their All in One Balm (worth £15) which won Best Multi-Tasking Balm in Beauty Shortlist Awards in 2017. You can use the multi-tasking balm all over the face and body and it's also good for flyaways. Again, a review will follow.

A brand which I've seen on Instagram but not had the pleasure to try yet is Canadian brand, Bella Aura and inside is two 10ml trial sizes of their Gentle Purifying Cleanser (£3.40) and Night Cellular Renewal (£24). I'm looking forward to trying these!

From a brand I've not used for ages, and not since they re-branded is lovely Pure Thoughts and inside is 10ml Serenity Pulse Point roller-ball (worth £8). It will balance, calm and encourage positivity.

The final item is from Kathleen, Tranquil Fields Bubble Bath & Shower Gel 150ml (worth £18) which is scented with Lavender, Vanilla and Frankincense. It'll help you unwind relax.

Butter Bar Soapery: Revive Body Polish

I received this mouthwatering Revive Body Polish by Butter Bar Soapery (which was an exclusive product to the box and a new to me brand #happyface) in August's Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. See my thoughts on the box which was entitled #Refresh HERE.

The body polish (which is worth £15) is a delectable mix of cacao powder, orange peel powder, shea butter, sweet almond oil along with bergamot and sweet orange essential oils with sea salts which will gently buff and smooth the skin (did I say, it smells good enough to eat!) This is a beautiful addition to August's box!

To use: apply to dry or slightly damp skin massaging in circular motions before rinsing.

August: Lately I've Been Loving

So many August loves..

We attended Foodies Festival in Edinburgh at the beginning of August and enjoyed a day in the sunshine and ate and drank some delicious food and drinks. (my pictures all seem to be of drinks...hmm)

I've been testing out a selection of healthy treats from Clearly Scrumptious** which I've really been enjoying. They are great for the afternoon slump at work and save me reaching for chocolate!

My favourites have been crunchy dried apple wedges and juicy dried strawberries - I'll definitely have to source some more of these and they are one of your 5 a day!

I've been trying the glorious Be In Blossom Ocean Flower Multi-Complex Serum+Creme (30ml - £46.80)* which my skin is loving. Expect my review early in September.

I've got Amanda at A.S Apothecary to thank for introducing me to the exquisite Tinkture Rose Gin. I just picked up "The Little Guy" but a full size bottle will be mine and soon. It's the most delicious gin I've ever tasted and the packaging is makes me squeal with delight - isn't it so pretty (and reusable!)

Of course I couldn't not mention Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box for August. The theme was Refresh and inside were four new to me brands - this is what beauty boxes should be all about - it really makes my heart sing. See my initial musings HERE.

From new to me brand Eden Days is a 60ml pot of their Hawaiian Haven Whipped Body Butter (£6.50) which smells gorgeous. It's a blend of organic green tea, ylang ylang, neroli, lavender and geranium essential oils along with quality natural oils. I'm looking forward to trying this! I love too that it's housed in a reusable/recyclable tin. 

And another new to me brand (such joy) is Butter Bar Soapery and inside this month is an exclusive product from the brand (it's not yet available to buy online). This mouthwatering Revive Body Polish (200g - £15) is almost good enough to eat. 

From Delune is their Coconut+Rose Facial Mist (100ml - £18) which smells glorious. I'm looking forward to trying this hydrating, delicately scented treat! 

I love how Paula finds these artisan small brands. From new-to-me Casa Mencarelli is a 12g pot (£8) of their Lemon & Clay Face Mask & Scrub which is made with pure Sicilian Green Clay and Lemon Peel Powder. Simply mix with water, honey or hydrosol to activate the mask. 

From BAO Skincare, a brand I very recently discovered (I'm currently trying their sample sets) is their Apricot Rose Face Polish (50ml - £14) which gently polishes the skin.

As ever some of the brands have offered generous discount codes. I'm absolutely thrilled with my box - 4 new to me brands - this is what a beauty box should be about. Absolutely love it.
